I moved from Tokyo to Washington DC in 2016 to live with my American husband. I love tasty food and drink and often enjoy them at home and in restaurants.
Before getting married, I did not cook at all, with the excuses that I was “very busy with work” and “my father loves to cook for my family”. My husband loves cooking and makes tasty food and drink – but only on the weekends.
To enjoy tasty food and drink as often as possible, I have taken on the challenge of improving as a home cook.
To be honest, I don’t have any special or particularly good cooking skills or techniques. However, I have a strong desire to eat good food and my antennae are always tuned to find products and tips to achieve maximum gratification with minimum time & workload.
Through my website and Instagram account, I hope to share what I discover cooking at home and introduce my favorite, often-used Japanese products to busy people, people who are new to cooking, and people who are new to Japanese cooking.
